New Year, Same Great Rookwood

Happy New Year, Rookwood community! Now that we have officially welcomed in a new year, we have our eyes set on what the future might bring.

After living through one of the most unpredictable and unusual years in recent history, we are now ready to shift our focus to the future. It’s safe to say that we’re all running toward the new year at record speed, filled with cautious anticipation. But we’re also taking the lessons we learned in 2020 into the new year. We all had to adapt in ways we could have never imagined for situations we could have never predicted, in everything from our home lives to professional. We are especially proud of all of the ways our Rookwood team came together for the betterment of the community.

Last month, we reflected on all the ways the Rookwood Commons and Pavilion shops and restaurants persevered through every challenge 2020 brought to their front door. In it, we shared how the businesses in our shopping center came up with incredibly creative ways to keep doing what they love for our community. For example:

  • Evereve created a completely new service known as their “Dressing Room To Go.” This innovative, COVID-friendly option brings the dressing room experience to shoppers’ homes and allows the Evereve team to provide their beloved styling services safely and comfortably.
  • Our favorite local spin studio, CycleBar, began offering an online studio membership called “CycleBar Go.” With the proper stationary bike and a reliable WiFi signal, everyone can take a CycleBar class just steps away from their bed. The only negative about this perk is that you officially have no excuse for showing up late or completely skipping a cycling class.
  • All our restaurants expanded their dining experience offerings. From traditional dine-in to convenient carry out and delivery, we loved being able to enjoy our favorite tastes of Rookwood from many safe locations.

These creative solutions are a reflection of who the Rookwood team has always been since we first opened our doors years ago. It may be a new year, but we’re still the same Rookwood you’ve always trusted.

What can we promise you for the new year?

We will continue to focus on our customers’ wellbeing first and foremost.

Whether you’re sitting at the bar at The Pub or browsing the aisles of Whole Foods, we hope you feel right at home. We pride ourselves in how each of our shops take care of our customers. From restaurants to retailers, we can depend on them all to provide superior service.

Putting customers first has always been an expected practice for any of our shops. But in 2020, that level of service looked a little different than previous years and was all the more important. With this track record, 2021 is sure to be a fantastic year for Rookwood Commons and Pavilion. Which brings us to our second new year’s promise:

We will continue to safely connect our community.

Now, more than ever, we need a strong sense of community. We’ve been united by upholding the “all in this together” mantra since last spring. But we would like to make that feeling of unity more tangible with as many safe experiences as possible.

From the Coat Drive with Land’s End in October to the Rookwood Blood Drive with Hoxworth in November, and even through ongoing events like online cooking classes with Sur La Table, we have tried to keep our community connected even in the midst of a pandemic. No matter what comes our way, we will continue to find creative ways to safely congregate around our favorite stores and restaurants found at Rookwood Commons and Pavilion.

It may be just the first week of the year, but we can’t wait to see you safely visiting all year long, from the Rookwood Commons side to the Pavilion. What else can we promise you in 2021?
