“March Madness” is really a perfect way to describe this tournament, especially the second and third rounds. Over the course of just four days, 48 games are played. With multiple games being aired at the same time, the best way to fully immerse yourself into the madness of this basketball tournament is at one of our bars and restaurants that feature multiple screens.
If you prefer to avoid the crowds that come with the typical bar scene, snag a seat at one of the great sports bars and restaurants at both the Commons & Pavilion sides of Rookwood. Here, you can watch more than one game at a time, which is perfect for friend groups filled with a range of fans. Our restaurants provide the electric energy of fans you want in the midst of a high-stakes tournament without the excessive crowds and with plenty of seats and delicious food for all. No matter who you’re rooting for, you’ll have a front-row (and comfortable) seat to all the action.
Our top three places to watch your team on (one of many) big screen(s) are:
This Rookwood staple has been known for its excellent hospitality and friendly service for years. Here, you’ll avoid swarms of (often frustrated) fans and instead be welcomed by an extensive bar menu and made-from-scratch meals. With comfortable seating both around the bar and at individual tables, everyone in your crew will be comfortable even in the most nail-biting moments.
Buffalo Wild Wings
There’s no combination quite like sports and hot wings. Not only will “B-Dubs” bring you plenty of mouth-watering wings (and plenty of napkins), you’ll have more than enough televisions to watch your team take home the win.
The newest sports bar in our community is making a name for itself. This fan favorite is known for its pizza and beer selection. Don’t worry, you can invite your health-conscious friends, too. Their EnLIGHTened menu features a selection of low-calorie, superfoods, vegetarian and gluten-free options.
No matter where you post up for each game, stop by Rally House to get the best team apparel. From simple t-shirts to fan tattoos, you can show your team spirit in any way you like. Rally House’s new location makes it even more convenient to pick up new gear on your way to one of our restaurants, perfect for the last-minute fan.
Prefer to watch in the comfort of your home? We get it. At home, you can proudly cheer – or yell at the screen – in private, while still getting the Rookwood sports bar experience. All three of our favorite fan spots offer carry out so you can take the best sports bar bites home with you. Be sure to call ahead, because they’re sure to be busy throughout the entire tournament.
Not a fan of traditional sports bar food?
Snag a pizza from Donato’s. Their crispy pizzas, calzones and subs will keep everyone happy. We love how Donato’s lets you build your own pizza – even with a gluten-free crust – to avoid any pre-game arguments.
Or stop by our favorite grocer: Whole Foods. Here, they have everything you need to create a healthier home viewing party. Choose from classic favorites like deli meat trays and chips with guacamole or change things up with artisan cheeses and fresh veggies with dip. Our favorite? All the skewers. From chicken teriyaki to beet and goat cheese, skewers make the perfect (and more sanitary) game day snack.
From the “First Four” through the championship game on April 6, the restaurants at Rookwood Commons and Pavilion will help you make the most of March Madness in your unique fan way.
